Record your display and camera
You can use Mediasite Capture to capture your entire screen or a specific application window and your webcam at the same time.
These types of recordings are useful when recording traditional virtual instructor-led lectures where the presenter talks in one video and presents material in the second one.
To record your display and camera:
- Launch Mediasite Capture and then select Display & Camera on the on the Choose What to Record page.
- Next choose what to share with your audience. Click the appropriate panel to navigate to and select the screen content you want to share.

Select the tab with the content you want to share. You can see a preview of the content as it will appear to your audience. |

- To use the audio from the selected tab, window, or screen instead of your computer’s microphone, turn on Also share tab/system audio.
- Click Share. Mediasite Capture displays the Record page with the display option you selected (you can see an example in the intro to this Help).

- Click
Show Live Preview near the top right to open a live preview of the recording with its own control buttons. - Click
Open video settings at the bottom right of the video display and adjust your camera and video settings as required. - Click
and adjust your microphone as required.
- When you are ready, click Record
. A countdown timer counts from 3-2-1 and then begins recording. - While recording, you can pause, resume, and stop recording. You can also mute or unmute your microphone as needed.
