Adding channels to showcases

Channels are searchable, online collections with presentations displayed as a flat list. After you create a showcase. You will add content to it by adding channels and aggregating content within them. You can create new channels within a showcase, or you can add existing channels to it.

Once you add a new channel to a showcase, it is also available in the channels list (Publishing > Channels) so you can manage it independently from the showcase.

Considerations when deleting showcase channels

When deleting showcase channels, consider the following:

When you remove a showcase channel, it does not go to the Recycle Bin because channels (even those created within the showcase) exist separately from the showcase.

Deleting a showcase deletes its player and channels. However, only the showcase will appear in the Recycle Bin.

Restoring a showcase will restore the showcase, player and all channels. Similarly, permanently deleting the showcase permanently removes the player and all channels.

Sending a channel featured in the spotlight to the Recycle Bin will return the spotlight to displaying videos added manually. If you restore the channel, it is not automatically restored to the spotlight. You must re-select it.
