You can add presentations on Mediasite for recording as needed or you can add recurring presentations that are created by Mediasite Scheduler using a user-defined schedule. When you add recurring presentations, you can fully-automate or semi-automate the recording process.
The Scheduler creates a presentation on Mediasite prior to the presentation’s record date and time using the data in the schedule that specifies the recurrence and how far in advance of the recording time a presentation should be created and loaded onto a Recorder. Depending on the level of automation selected, the Recorder opens and records presentations created from the schedule for the duration of time specified.
If your Recorder is connected to a Mediasite, you can view all schedules assigned to it from the Schedules tab. Scheduled presentations appear in the Recorder interface three days prior to their record date. This allows you to see, on any given day, all presentations scheduled for the next three days on the Recorder. For example, if it is Monday, you will see schedules through Wednesday.
In the Schedules tab you can also manually sync the Scheduler with Mediasite and launch the Management Portal to edit schedules.
