Mediasite applications

Mediasite Video Platform is a set of web applications and tools used to create, schedule, organize, publish, manage, secure, and watch content as well as interact with the audience and configure server-level settings.

Mediasite also includes desktop applications for recording the desktop and managing Mediasite security.

Application	Purpose
Management Portal	Provides permission-based access to functions, presentations, and system components on Mediasite. The Portal is used to configure your site, manage, and secure presentations and items that make up a presentation, publish presentations, and manage recorders.
Player	An embedded application used to watch live and on-demand presentations in a web browser, to navigate on-demand presentations using the video controls, slides, or chapter points, and to interact with the presenter.
Showcases	Searchable, customizable online video libraries. Showcases feature channels, which are search-based video collections.
Channels	Searchable, customizable online video collections.
Search application	A full text search index for Mediasite presentations, showcases, and channels.
Web Editor	A lightweight presentation editing web application.
My Mediasite	A presentation management web-application designed for content creators. Can be used to create, manage, share, moderate, and secure presentations. Includes tools for adding captions and quizzes.
Mediasite Capture	A browser-based video capture tool designed for content creators. Can be used to record, webcams, microphones, windows and displays in dual video structure. Includes quick editing, uploading while recording and local video downloads.
