You can use Management Portal to export presentations to an external storage location, which is useful when backing up content, or to a trusted Mediasite (remote site). You can also copy and move presentations to a trusted Mediasite. Mediasite also allows you to export content as full or publish to go presentations.
Considerations when exporting presentations
Consider the following when creating media export projects:
•If you select a folder that already has content in it, Mediasite will not export that content. Mediasite only exports newly recorded content uploaded to this folder after you create the export project. As a best practice, we suggest creating a new folder, creating the media export project with the folder selected, and then adding presentations to the folder.
•If you are using SFTP for your file storage, you may need to adjust the location’s URI slightly. For more information, see KBA3686 available on the Customer Care Portal at www.sonicfoundry.com/support.
•When you export presentations with smooth streaming as the primary content, the exported package retains the original smooth streaming encoding qualities.
