To troubleshoot your network settings, click the Network Settings, navigate to the Network Diagnostics section, and select the command you want to run. Use the following commands to pinpoint network issues affecting your Recorder.

ping |
Tests IP-level connectivity by sending Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) echo Request messages. |
net view |
Displays a list of computers and devices on the network. |
nbtstat /n |
Displays a table of TCP/IP information for the Recorder. Registered indicates that the name is registered either by broadcast or with a WINS server. |
arp /a |
Displays entries in the address Resolution Protocol (arp) cache for all interfaces. This includes physical addresses and IP address type. |
nslookup |
Displays the hostname of an external IP address. Queries the DNS server to discover the Recorder’s IP address. |
route print |
Displays network routing table for the Recorder. |
tracert |
Traces a path to a destination by sending Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) or ICMPv6 messages. Displays ping values for each hop between the Recorder and its destination. |
pathping |
Traces a path to a destination by sending Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) or ICMPv6 messages. Packet loss statistics are displayed for each hop between the Recorder and its destination. |
