If you are logged into the Recorder as an administrator, you have access to the following advanced settings. Some features listed below may only be available when using the local Recorder interface.
To access the advanced settings, you must log in using administrator credentials. If you have not set up your credentials yet and do not know the default credentials, contact your Mediasite administrator or our technical support team on the Mediasite Customer Assurance Portal at www.sonicfoundry.com/support.

Recorder Summary

• View Recorder’s hardware details: name, serial number, hardware revision, image version, number of inputs, number of full resolution inputs, and stream capacity. • View Recorder’s software details: Recorder Interface URL, software version, time Recorder checks for updates, and license status. • View Recorder’s network details: connection status, IP address, and MAC address |
Network Settings |
• View the Recorder’s connection status and update its IP address and other network settings as needed. • Run commands such as ping, net view, etc. to troubleshoot your network settings. |
Date and Time Settings |
• Update time zone • Enable/disable Internet time synchronization • Set date and time • Specify locale (English, Japanese, Russian, or Chinese) |
Power Settings |
• Set a scheduled time for the Recorder to reboot. • Enable power control |
License |
• Acquire license from Mediasite (Mediasite Video Platform Server) • Acquire license from sonicfoundry.com • Generate offline request • Import license from file |
Remote Access |
• Enable/disable remote access • Update administrator credentials (administrator has access to the Recorder Interface’s advanced settings) • Update operator credentials (operator has access to the Recorder Interface) • Specify how the Recorder acquires its name • Adjust security level for remote access • Configure third-party certificates |
System |
• Update machine name • Reset Recorder (all settings or all content and settings) • Import/export settings • Restore Recorder • Check for and apply software updates • Manage event log files • Re-add presentations |
