Adjusting your audio source properties

To update your audio source’s properties, click Source Properties  above the audio meter. In the Source properties dialog, update the settings that apply:

 

Source Property

Description

Boost 20dB

When using XLR (Balanced), select this check box to amplify the audio input’s signal by 20dB.

Channel Pair

When using embedded HDMI or SDI, select the digital audio input channels. The options available will depend on your Recorder.

Output Gain

Adjust the gain applied to the audio output (what your viewing audience hears). The Output Gain has a range of -95.625 dB to +0.000 dB with a default setting of +0.000 dB.

Line Out Gain

Adjust the gain applied to the line out audio signal.

Meter dB Range

Adjust the decibel ranges shown in the audio meter. The value that you set will be the lowest dB value shown on the meter.

Reset

Return all settings to their default values.

Signal Type

Verify the selected audio input. This value is read-only.

  If using an analog source, additional settings will display that allow you to adjust the gain and decibel ranges shown in the audio meter. Please note that you CANNOT use the slider to adjust the volume when using digital audio inputs.

  The settings available in the audio source properties menu will vary by Recorder and input type so some items listed above may not be available when you access these settings.
