Choosing a recording option

Before you begin configuring Mediasite Mosaic, determine which recording option best suits your needs:

Dual video options

Capture your display and camera simultaneously as two discrete videos. Or choose any combination of two cameras, two displays or other USB input devices. The following recording options are available when recording in dual video mode.

Screencast and video

      Allows you to capture demonstrations of tasks, applications, etc. on your desktop

      Allows you to capture video and slides with animation on your desktop

      Allows your audience to see you (webcam input)

      Displays the mouse cursor in the final output

      Produces the largest file size

Slideshow and video

      Creates the traditional Mediasite format (slides and video)

      Obtains the best resolution when capturing slides without animation

      Allows your audience to see you (webcam input)

      Produces a smaller file size than screencast and audio

2 video streams

Allows you to capture two separate videos with or without audio.

Single video options

Capture either your display or camera as a single video. The following recording options are available when recording in single video mode.

Capture audio from your microphone. Typically used for assignment submission, audio-only presentations have the smallest file size.
