Before you begin configuring Mediasite, determine the recording, viewing, and publishing requirements for your organization:
•By default, Mediasite always supports on-demand playback so you must always set up at least one (1) on-demand server.
•Will presentations be streamed live? If so, you must set up a live server.
•Will your presentations include slides? If so, you must set up a slide server. A default slide server is created that points to the data location specified when the site was added using Configuration Editor.
•Will you automate captioning for on-demand presentations? If so, does your organization have an existing account with a supported captioning service?
•Will you make presentations available as podcasts (MP3) and video podcasts (MP4) for your audience?
