Add outbound trusts

When you add an outbound trust on a Mediasite, you automatically create an inbound trust on the remote site specified. Setting up a trust relationship with another Mediasite allows your users copy and move content between sites.

To add an outbound trust:

1.  Click Security > Mediasite Trusts > Add New and specify the following:

Service Root URL

      Specify the service root URL for the external Mediasite location (remote site). If the service is reachable and the software versions match, the External Mediasite Account Info settings appear.

Username/Password

      Enter credentials of account on the remote site that you will use to establish the trust. Click Test.  If the credentials are valid and the trust settings are configured on the remote site, its Friendly Name and Role Prefix appear and you can move on to the Local Mediasite Account Info settings.

 The credentials you use to establish the trust must be those of a validated profile that has been assigned "create trust" permissions.

System Access Profile

      Specify the profile (role) services will use to access the remote site. It is important to specify a validated user profile with administrator credentials.

 

2.  Click Save. Once the system successfully creates the outbound trust, the corresponding inbound trust appears on the remote site.
