Navigating channels

On a channel’s home page, you can use the search feature or browse through the presentations to find the one you want.

 

Browse videos on the home page

Select Home to return to the channel homepage.

Click your initial avatar (for example ) and select one of the following items from the drop-down list:

•      My Settings: Change user profile settings such as your display name and associated email address. You can also change the channel’s theme for visibility purposes.

•      Share Channel: Share a Mediasite Channel via email. See Sharing channels for more information.

•      My Mediasite: Opens My Mediasite in a new window.

Navigate the channel by page using the drop-down list or the navigation buttons.

Select a sort option from the drop-down menu. The options available will depend on how your system is configured.

Presentation details:

•      The Views icon  indicates the number of views the presentation has had.

•      The Duration icon  indicates the length of the presentation.

•      The Download icon  indicates that the presentation has content that can be downloaded for offline use.

•      Click a presentation’s Title to go to a page where you can view additional information, launch the presentation in a full-screen player, or share it with others.  

•      Click a presentation’s Tag icon  to search for and display all presentations in the channel with the same tag.

•      The Private icon  appears if a presentation has been set to private and you are its owner. Only you (presentation owner) will be able to view the presentation in the channel until you change its status to viewable.

•      The Live icon  indicates a presentation is currently broadcasting live. Click the icon to display all current live presentations.

   Channels have varying configurations and features that may not be available on your system. Contact your Mediasite administrator for more information.
