Add Recorders manually

You can add Recorder to Monitor that is not connected to a Mediasite Video Platform using its IP address or hostname and its administrator credentials.

To add a Recorder:

1.  In the Recorder List Options panel, click the Add Recorder button  and specify the following information:

Setting

Description

Hostname or Address

Enter the IP address or hostname for a Recorder that is connected to the network.

Username Credentials

Enter the Recorder’s administrator credentials. If you do not know these credentials, contact your Mediasite administrator.

Use SSL?

Select On to use a secure connection between the Recorder and Monitor.

Group

Optionally, select a group from the drop-down menu to add the Recorder to that group in the Recorder List.

2.  Click Save. If the connection is successful, the Recorder is added to the Recorder List.

Add Recorder

  At any time you can update a Recorder’s settings by clicking the See More button … and selecting Edit Recorder.
