Before you can use Join to capture calls, you must license the software. You can acquire a license online using your Customer Care Portal credentials. You can also acquire a license from the Customer Care Portal via an offline license request.
If you purchase additional call
slots after licensing Join, you must relicense the software to use the
additional slots. Please contact our technical support experts on the
Mediasite Customer Care Portal at www.sonicfoundry.com/support if
you need assistance.
Acquire a license from sonicfoundry.com
To acquire a license online from sonicfoundry.com, your Join Appliance must be connected to the internet.
To acquire a license:
1. Use RDP to access the Join configuration page and click Licensing.
2. Under “Online Licensing,” enter your Customer Care Portal credentials and click Acquire License.
3. Once you have successfully licensed Join, you can access all its features.

Acquire a license offline
If a network connection is unavailable when setting up the Join Appliance, you can download a license request file to submit to Sonic Foundry’s Customer Care portal. After the license request has been uploaded, a license file will be generated for you to upload to Join.
To acquire a license:
1. Use RDP to access the Join configuration page and click Licensing.
2. Click the Download link to download and save a license request file (.xml).
3. Copy the license request file to a computer with internet access.
4. Login to the Customer Care portal at support.sonicfoundry.com and browse to My Services > Offline Licensing.
5. After you have received the license file (.lic), upload it to Join under the Licensing tab.
