Update the server data location

The Server Data Location is where Mediasite uploads and stores presenter images, presentation thumbnails, banner images, MP3 files, captioning files and exported reports. Download is via HTTPS using the File Server. Mediasite uploads files to the storage location via HTTPS using the File Server or via FTP or SFTP.

To update the server data location:

1. Click Settings > Server Settings> Server Data Location, and update the settings:

Use File Server	Select this radio button to use Mediasite File Server to upload media to your media server. If you are using File Server, you must create a file share for the publishing location. Access to this share must be given to a domain account, which corresponds to the identity running the File Server application pool on Mediasite Video Platform. Select the Use SSL check box if SSL is configured on your server.
Use FTP/SFTP	Select this radio button if you are using FTP or secure FTP (SFTP) to upload media to your media server and specify the following information: • Storage URL: Enter the URL for the FTP/SFTP location. • Username/Password: Credentials used to establish authenticated access to the storage location via FTP/SFTP. • Local or UNC Path: Enter the local or UNC path that points to the publishing point. Files will be uploaded to this location. The default location is the one specified during deployment

2. Click Save at the top of the Server Settings page.
