Mediasite Video Platform automates the capture, management, delivery, and search of live and on-demand videos and content. You will use Management Portal to configure and secure Mediasite Platform and set up workflows that allow your users to create, aggregate, publish, and share their content.
We will also refer to Mediasite Video
Platform as “Mediasite Platform” or simply “Mediasite” throughout this
guide.
Using this guide
The Mediasite Configuration Guide provides detailed instructions for configuring Mediasite Video Platform as well as managing and securing the system.
Audience
Administrators and power users responsible for configuring, securing, and managing Mediasite Platform should have a solid background in all the technologies mentioned in this guide including the following:
• Role-based security
• Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS): FTP and HTTP
• Microsoft IIS Media Services
Without this background, we strongly advise you to find a more qualified IT professional to set up Mediasite 7.6. All other users, at minimum, should have experience using web-based applications.
Many of the features described in the
Mediasite Configuration Guide are not available to Mediasite Video Cloud
customers. This will be noted throughout the documentation.
