You can select one of the default smooth streaming encoding settings and use "Add Like" to create a copy of it. You can then "customize" the default settings by specifying the streams available for smooth streaming or selecting a particular MP4 stream for on-demand streaming.
To customize smooth streaming settings:
1. Click Recording > Encoding Settings and select the setting you want to customize.
2. On the encoding setting’s summary page, click More > Add Like and specify the settings for the new encoding setting:

Select the option that you want to use to customize the encoding settings: •Manually select streams for smooth streaming: Select this option to select the H264 streams that will be included. Select the check box next to each stream you want to include. •Select stream for MP4: Select this option to choose the streaming option that will be used to create MP4 files for on-demand streaming. Select the radio button next to the stream you want to use. |
3. Click Save.

For MP4 encoding settings, you can also click More > Generate Smooth Streaming (on the summary page) to create new smooth streaming encoding settings.
